At HomeTown Animal Hospital, you can expect state-of-the-art medical care for your four-legged companions. We believe in nurturing the human-animal bond and creating a harmonious relationship between people and animals. You can expect to be greeted by a courteous receptionist, clean exam rooms, friendly doctors, and caring technicians. We appreciate the role we get to play in your pets' health care.  

  • Dr. Scott Davis

    DVM

    After graduating from Crook County High School in 1981, Dr. Scott L. Davis attended Eastern Oregon University and subsequently Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Graduating in 1990. Dr. Davis practiced in Montana for 7 years before returning home to Oregon in 1997. After establishing a large animal mobile practice: He purchased Ochoco Small Animal Clinic from Dr. Gene Nance in July of 1999. The practice then became a mixed animal practice serving both large and small animals, so the name was changed to Hometown Animal Hospital. Subsequently, Dr. Davis started a cattle herd health and ranch consulting business under the name of Cattlyst PC.

    Currently, his focus is cattle herd health and small animal orthopedic surgery. In his off time, Dr Davis enjoys bird hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, riding horses, roping, and spending time with his family.

  • Dr. Amy Hamm

    DVM

    Dr. Amy Hamm graduated from the University of California Davis with a DVM degree in 2014. She earned her B.S. in Animal Science from the University of California Davis in 2010. Her interests in veterinary medicine include small ruminant medicine (sheep & goats), ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, and senior wellness. Also, she has a soft spot for dachshunds!

    In her free time, Dr. Hamm enjoys spending her time outdoors hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, and camping with her dogs. She is the proud owner of a Golden Retriever named Honey Hamm and a happy Pitbull mix named Tubby.

  • Dr. Rachel Williams

    DVM

    Dr. Rachel Williams is a Central Oregon native and was raised on a farm in Powell Butte. Growing up on a farm created a passion for caring for animals and Rachel has wanted to be a veterinarian ever since. She attended Oregon State University and received her B.S. in Animal Sciences in 2009. She also attended Oregon State University for veterinary school and graduated in June of 2013. Dr. Rachel Williams is interested in mixed animal practice and would be honored to meet and serve you, your livestock and your pets.

    In addition to practicing veterinary medicine, Rachel enjoys the outdoors, watching and playing sports, reading a good book, and especially spending time with her husband, Nick, her cat, and two dogs.

  • Dr. Brooke Warner

    DVM

    Dr. Brooke Warner graduated from UC Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She is one of the many California natives who found the appeal of Central Oregon irresistible for many reasons. Though she has been practicing on small animals for much of her career, she has a strong interest in large animal medicine and even took the equine focus in veterinary school. But if you ask her what her favorite species is, it’s the alpaca! Ever since Brooke met her first alpaca in the first semester of vet school, she fell in love with the species and vowed to make them a big part of her career.

    When Brooke is not in the clinic, she spends her time with her husband, daughter, and their 2 dogs Rose and Maggie. She enjoys everything outdoors (hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, running) and everything creative (silversmithing, playing the violin, baking, painting). And of course, alpacas.

  • Dr. Taylor Karlin

    DVM

    Dr. Taylor Karlin is originally from Colorado and spent much of her childhood growing up in Maryland. Owning and showing horses in Western Pleasure stemmed her interest in veterinary medicine. She attended the University of South Carolina and received a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2015. She then returned to Colorado for veterinary school and graduated from Colorado State University in 2020. Dr. Karlin’s veterinary passion is mixed animal practice with a particular interest in equine medicine. She looks forward to taking care of all your critters!

    In her free time, you will find Taylor outdoors hiking, skiing, mountain biking, backpacking, kayaking, and camping. She also has a passion for international travel and plans to continue exploring the world.

  • Dr. Kelsi Wymard

    DVM

    Dr. Kelsi Wymard grew up on a farm in Uniontown, PA where her love for animals started at a very young age. She graduated from Ohio State University in 2016 with a BS in Animal Sciences and in 2020 she earned her DVM degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. Her professional interests include internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.

    In her free time, Dr. Wymard enjoys spending time outdoors reading, hiking, swimming, rock climbing, and soaking up the sunshine on a good river rock. She is the proud fur-mom of an angelic Black Labrador named Daisy and a grumpy cat named Schmidt.
